The “Targalt internetis” project youth seminar took place on October 25th-27th in Kloogaranna youth camp. 26 active students aged 10-16 from 9 schools from all over Estonia and their coordinators participated in the seminar.
During the seminar, the project trainers organized thematic workshops and tried out lesson schedules for kids aged 10-12 and 13-16, durings which the youngsters actively expressed their opinions. On the second day of the seminar, the youngsters created 4 educative video- and photostories as group activities, portraying how to avoid risks and work well online. After technical editing of the stories, they will be converted into study materials, which trainers can use in schools.
In addition to study- and work hours, the kids had enough energy for exciting leisure activities like fun joined games and demonstrations of their singing and dancing skills.
During the seminar, the youngsters became good friends with each other and on the last day it was sad that all of them could not fit in the Youth Panel. The selection still had to be made and the new members of the Youth Panel are: Dalia and Kirke from Harkujärve Basic School, Georg from Jõhvi Gymnasium, Juta from Kohtla-Järve Collective Gymnasium, Kristofer from Tartu Private School, Ksenija and Vlad from Ehte Humanitary Gymnasium, Einar and Lauri from Jäneda Basic School, Lee Marion from Tallinn Pelgulinna Gymnasium, Liina and Sirelin from Pärnu-Jaagupi Gymnasium and Meeri from Peetri School. Marek from Tallinn Lilleküla Gymnasium will be present from the previous Panel.
At the end of the seminar, all participants, both youngsters and adult coordinators, well acknowledge and we are planning to organize a youth seminar for all the participants in summer 2013.
